Position Title: Assistant Manager
Reports To: Manager / Owner

Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager directly supervises the daily operations of a specified unit and ensures that daily schedules of activity and established quality standards are maintained. This includes the coordination of the individuals and collective efforts of assigned staff.

Tasks And Competencies:

  1. Manages a staff of approximately 4 to 12 employees. Assigns, oversees and evaluates work. Recommends promotion, transfer, or termination of employees based on performance evaluations.
  2. Supervises unit operations and preparation of work schedules for each employee.
  3. Provides on-the-job training for new employees.
  4. Delegates and is responsible for the ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, detergent and paper supplies for the unit to ensure a minimum loss from waste or theft.
  5. Assists in the supervision of the preparation, sales, and service of food.
  6. Forecasts food items. Estimates what amount of each food item will be consumed.
  7. Prepares budgets for food, labor, equipment, direct costs, etc.
  8. Prepares payroll figures, profit and loss statement, and weekly inventories.
  9. Maintains time cards daily and records overtime.
  10. Ensures that building and equipment are safe and sanitary.
  11. Assists with planning of special events.

Pre-requisites:

  • Education: College level course work in management, restaurant management, or other business-related field desired. High school graduate with emphasis on skill training.
  • Experience: Two (2) to Four (4) years’ experience in food service operations, preferably with supervisory experience. Excellent communication skills, Ability to deal with all levels of employees, Computer Knowledge desirable.
  • Physical: Must be physically able to work any station in the restaurant when needed and to operate cash register as appropriate. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a continuing basis.


Position Title: Sandwich Artists
Reports To: Shift Manager / Assistant Manager / Manager

Position Summary:
Performs a variety of duties relating to QSR restaurant-style service including greeting and serving customers, cold & hot food preparation, stocking counters and steam table, and maintaining sanitation standards. Responsible customer service is a major component of this position.

Tasks And Competencies:

  1. Checks supplies in counter area and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
  2. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front-of-the-house including all tables, floors, windows, and beverage station, Restroom, etc.
  3. Greets customers and takes their orders – use cash register to records the order and computes the amount of the bill – collects payment from guest and make change.
  4. Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, company police & procedures.
  5. Collects cash, checks, or charge payment from guest. Makes change for cash transaction, verifies identification for checks and prepares charge vouchers for credit card purchases.
  6. Counts money, checks, and charge payments in cash drawer at end of shifts.
  7. Complete cold & hot food preparation assignments neatly, accurately, and in a timely fashion.
  8. Maintains proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards while preparing food, serving food and clean-up.
  9. Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service as assigned.
  10. Maintains professional appearance at all times, clean and well groomed as per standards. Displays a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
  11. Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and explains it to customers accurately.
  12. Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner when dealing with customers.

PREREQUISTES:

  • Education: High School or Equivalent
  • Experience: Demonstrated ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.
  • Physical: Positions requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Cleaning duties such as wiping tables and small equipment, sweeping and refilling of stock.
